The event

Gelleråsloppet is one of Sweden's most packed motorsport weekends. Eight classes raced across the weekend, including Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia, Formula Nordic, Radical Cup and Ginetta GT5 Challenge. Beyond the racing, there was an aerobatic airshow, a Maserati club exhibition, Formula Student demos and sports car parking. Thousands of visitors across three days.

Our role

We were part of Sunday's official programme: 'Try racing simulators from RaceLoop'. Two rigs, Stage 1 and Stage 2, set up in the arena area. Visitors signed up via our digital queue system, got a queue number, and could wander around the arena until it was their turn. No waiting at the rigs, no bottlenecks.

The leaderboard

We ran a live leaderboard throughout the weekend. Visitors could see their time immediately and compare with others. It created a competitive edge that made people queue up again to improve their time. Several drivers did three, four rounds. The fastest time was set by Victor at 1:05.900 on Stage 2.

The context

What works with this type of event is that sim racing complements the real racing. Visitors who just watched Porsche Carrera Cup on track could immediately sit down and drive the same type of experience. It becomes relevant, not a side attraction. RaceLoop wasn't just an activity, we were a natural part of the weekend.
